About the Founder

Merlyn Donatien is the founder and lead event and wedding planner of Flawless Events Fla. She is creative, has an impeccable eye for detail, a burning passion for planning and coordinating events, and above all she has an incredible amount of patience and remains calm during the most stressful situations. Time and time again her clientele often describe her as going above and beyond to bring their dream wedding or event to reality. Over the years,, Merlyn has planned and executed countless events and weddings and has been featured on local and national blogs such as The Coordinated Bride, Kara’s Party Ideas and Borrowed and Blue. Recently she was awarded the Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Award which recognizes the top five percent of wedding professionals from the WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellence in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism. 

 

Prior to engaging herself in the wedding industry, Merlyn earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. She has many years of experience in working in fund raising and managing and planning corporate events and conferences. In addition to completing business management courses, most recently, she became a Certified Wedding Planner with the prestigious Internationally known, Bridal Society. Her business knowledge and professional demeanor help create a stress free experience throughout the planning process and day of the event. After many years of working in the industry, she has built a strong network of vendors in any field you need, whether it be a photographer, florist, entertainer, caterer and more.
